Some good news for a change.

Simon Buckell reports on his blog http://shorebirder-waderworld.blogspot.co.uk/ that the Mersing Estaury development has been shelved.

It may not be a permanent situation, these things have a habit of being dusted off and resurfacing down the line, but for now the estaury will be left to the birds. GREAT NEWS!!!

Perhaps there is a future for this adult Lesser Sandplover on Mersing Beach after all:
