Wader Quest's new logo and tag line.

At a meeting of the Board of Trustees it was decided that the Wader Quest logo was in need of a face lift. As a result after much deliberation and consultation we have changed the logo quite dramatically and believe that the whimbrel reflects the worldwide concern we have for waders while being immediately recognisable. Whatever continent you are on (except Antartcica of course), you will be able to see a whimbrel in one form or other be it the Eurasian or Hudsonian Whimbrel.

You'll notice that we have also changed the tag line to 'Supporting Shorebird Conservation'. The reasoning behind this is that although we still think of ourselves as ambassadors for waders, we wanted to reflect the more practical aspect to our work. In addition the word 'shorebird' is used in many parts of the world to describe what we refer to as 'waders' and we wanted to recognise this synonymy to make the look and feel of the organisation inclusive to anyone who is interested in the welfare of this group of birds whatever they call them.

We hope you agreed and like the new look, we are certainly very pleased with it. From now on this logo will be used on all Wader Quest related documents and displays but some old ones may still appear from time to time while we try to replace them all.
