Last plea for help! Take up the £1 challenge!

Attention all wader lovers! We still need £750.00 to reach our target and we are going to need your help to achieve it.

Take up the Wader Quest £1.00 challenge

A short time ago I asked people to help out by approaching each of their friends, family, workmates and strangers in the street for just £1 as a donation? I needed 44 people to raise just £20.00 each. Well it wasn't a resounding success and I have had no feedback from anyone to say they are doing it or have done it.

I, on the other hand, decided to show the way and put other people's money where my mouth was and went out and did it. I managed to get £33.00 which I put on the justgiving site today, it was easy, everyone I asked was more than happy to hand over just one pound; even before they knew why sometimes.

So, we have £750.00 still to raise before 31/01/2014.
If I could plead, beg, cajole, shame or otherwise persuade just 30 people out there to get £25.00 each at a quid a time from people they know, we will have done it!

Surely there are at least 30 people out there who care enough to at least give it a try? We are talking about the extinction of a species here and there are thousands of birders out there. Do it among your birding friends, or bird club and donate it in the club's name; do it at the football club or down the pub and donate it in their name. Everyone must know at least 25 people so how hard can it be? It's just a question of getting started, so start now, go and ask your mum and dad, brother and/or sister, wife/husband/partner/lover and/or children if you are blessed with them for a pound each and you are on your way!
Once you've started the rest is easy.

If you haven't already seen a Spoon-billed Sandpiper you should do this to give yourself a chance of seeing one in the future, if you have already seen one you should do it to show your gratitude and appreciation for the privilege you have had.

Go on, make it a New Year resolution, it's one you can easily keep!

Or if you really can't be bothered with all that, just send £25.00 via the justgiving site yourself. Simple.
