Another donation.

Many thanks to Merlin Bio-Surveys for their support and donation, it is much appreciated indeed. You can find Merlin Bio-Surveys on facebook have a look at their page and like it!

They have recently posted some photos of a Long-billed Dowitcher that was found at a site called Rhaslas Pond near Myrthyr-Tydfil. This site is under threat from development as an open cast coal mine. The google map reference for the ponds is  51.755807,-3.312728.

There is a campaign known as Save Rhaslas for Migrating Waders. The number of photos of various species shown on this facebook page provide evidence of its value to migrating waders and the Long-billed Dowitcher's appearance is the icing on the cake.

Yet more evidence that the world is a shrinking place if you are looking for a safe haven and happen to be a wader!
