PLEASE JOIN RICK AND ELIS SIMPSON FOR THEIR TALK: WADER QUEST
They aim to raise awareness about diminishing wader populations and threats to the world’s flyways.  They are also raising funds for the Wildfowl & Wetland Trust (WWT) captive breeding programme of the Critically Endangered Spoon-billed Sandpiper.  There are less than 100 pairs of these incredible little birds left in the wild and they are on the 'extinction express'; if we don't do something to help them they will be gone in just a few short years. See:www.waderquest.org
Place:                      Delta Park Environmental Centre
Rd no 3 Victory Park, Johannesburg
Date & time:            Tuesday 3rd September 2013 at 19h30.
Entrance fee:          R20. Tea & coffee will be available
For further information regarding this talk please contact Sue Oertli on either 083 306 8459 or at oertli@webafrica.org.za.
