Some more Spoon-billed Sandpiper pictures.

Here is a link to a snippet of video taken in Pak Thale in Thailand when we saw the Spoon-billed Sandpipers.

With so much going on and so much to do it is hard to keep up with ourselves. However today Elis got a chance to work on some of the photos she took in Thailand of the spoonies and so I thought we'd share some of them with you.
Lovely shot of that beak! It makes the bird unmistakable.
But not so easy to identify when the beak is not visible,

The only flight shot we have of this bird.
You may have seen this one before, but it is a fine portrait.
Two for the price of one,

Another shot of the bill, just exquisite!
And for the black-and-white aficionados Elis has prepared a couple of shots in that style.

This bill seems too heavy to hold up somehow.

Another pleasing portrait.
And something rather more artistic.

These may not be the best photos you have ever seen of this bird but they are our photos of this bird, our experience of this lovely wader, they are the essence of Wader Quest's current project and a reminder of what we are all about. Enjoy them for what they are.
