Summary of Florida USA leg of Wader Quest.

Wilson's Plover

We had three full days in Florida. Our main target was Wilson's Plover, but we also wanted to get Piping Plover under the belt too. In this we were successful on the first morning thanks to the help of Rangel and friends at Cranford Park. After that everything felt a bit like an anti-climax as we kept hitting beaches at the wrong time due to the tide.

We arrived in Florida with the WQ list at 55. We saw 16 species of wader and 11 of them were new for the WQ list. We left Florida with 66 on the WQ list.
