We have a definite start date November 1st 2012. Dates for Wader Quest trips thus organised are 4th -12th November Thailand, 12th - 15th November United Arab Emirates.

The emphasis of the quest has moved slightly. The money raising has not changed, all donations will be passed on to the WWT captive breeding programme.

Where we have changed is the increased effort we will be putting into raising awareness. More emphasis will be placed on meeting schools, local communities and media (press, radio TV) to raise awareness about the challenges faced by waders and the threats to the flyways of the world, the Spoon-billed Sandpiper being a classic example of the worst that can happen.

We hope to show by our presence that birding tourism is a reality and that local economies can benefit from waders and the wetlands that support them.

We are still urgently seeking backers and sponsors. Please help us to reach as many children and communities across the world as possible.

Also if you have unwanted airmiles for any airline, please contact us to see if we can use them. They are not transferrable as such but flights can be purchased for third parties.

Thanks to everyone who has helped so far with donations, support and much needed advice!
